Hemmas Studios: In 2007, Warner Bros & director George Miller tried to bring a Justice League movie to the big screen and despite everything going right for this movie, things seemed to fall apart at the 11th hour, leading the movie to be canceled.
The movie was set to be the first Justice League movie- long before Zack Snyder, Joss Whedon, or the DECU. The team of heroes was similar to that of the Justice League cartoon from the early 2000s: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, and Aquaman. Actors were cast and everybody was essentially ready to go in front of cameras- this may be the closest a movie may have ever come to being shot without actually being shot. It’s a roller coaster.
So today, we’ll walk through the development, plot and cancellation of the original Justice League movie: 2007’s Justice League Mortal.
