Learn Green Screen Basics With Blender

In this tutorial, we go through some tips on how to quickly key out a green screen in Blender.

CG Cookie: You don’t need a professional green screen or studio to do this! All you need is a background that is a color of high contrast to your subject and lots of light. After you’ve shot your footage, we’ll start by loading our footage into Blender’s compositor. We’ll use the keying node to select our green screen color and let Blender get to work! Once we have a successful key, we can composite a different background behind our footage. Then, utilizing the matte from our keying node, we will make a light wrap mask to further integrate our footage with our background. Compositing greatness awaits you!
